Heartwarming Moment in the Canadiens Locker Room with Slafkovsky and Xhekaj

We witnessed a great moment last night, live from the Montreal Canadiens’ locker room, involving Juraj Slafkovsky and Arber Xhekaj.

After the Canadiens’ solid victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets, a game where the young Slafkovsky scored a goal and registered an assist, we were treated to a delightful scene with a touch of intrigue.

Check out their exchange and the footage:

“Suz, nice way to finish that, but it’s been a while since we’ve seen that ugly Slovak smile (referring to Juraj Slafkovsky).”

– Arber Xhekaj, who then handed the game glasses to his 20-year-old teammate.

“Good game, guys! Suzy, nice goal!

And I’m glad the glasses are staying within the brick squad.»

– Juraj Slafkovsky, flashing his big smile.

We love it!

I have no idea what the “brick squad” means in the Montreal Canadiens’ locker room, it’s quite intriguing, but it’s just heartwarming to see the amazing atmosphere that seems to have returned to the team.

Slafkovsky finished his night with two points (1 goal and 1 assist), one shot on goal, one hit, and one blocked shot. He was much more involved, and it feels like his time on the fourth line may finally be over.

He played 13 minutes and 4 seconds last night in his team’s 4-3 overtime victory.

In this win, goaltender Cayden Primeau stopped 21 of the 24 shots he faced.

Do you think the youth movement is back in Montreal?
