Starting goalie Luke Richardson ready to rejoin Canadiens’ coaching staff after another loss to Penguins 9-2.
It has been said that after being left without a job after the humiliating 9-2 loss to Pittsburgh Penguins, Luke Richardson is being considered to join the Montreal Canadiens’ staff. Hailed as one of the worst defeats in recent history of the team, this loss has brought forth discussions to change up the coaching structure in search of a solution to the defensive blunders as well as the morale of the entire team.
Richardson is an ex-pro player with specialization in the area of defense and also acted as leader, and he was the assistant coach of the Montreal Canadiens before becoming the head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks. His return has been seen as a measure of putting order in the team especially from the defensive perspective.
Both the Canadiens and Richardson have not publicly reacted to the rumours, but off the record, insiders report that the negotiation process is still active. Football fans and critics are now waiting and wondering if Richardson’s return can be that drive the team badly needs.
