During the final minutes of Sunday’s game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, a major brawl led to three players being ejected. The Dallas Cowboys were trailing the Philadelphia Eagles 41-7 with just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter when a scuffle broke out following a punt.
Eagles safety Sydney Brown and Cowboys wide receiver Jalen Brooks got into a heated exchange near the out-of-bounds area. The altercation escalated when Cowboys defensive back Troy Pride Jr. intervened and shoved Brown. The situation quickly intensified, with Brown dragging Pride towards the tunnel. Officials and security staff had o intervene to break up the fight.
As a result, Brown, Brooks, and Pride were all ejected from the game. The penalties offset each other, but the incident marked a bitter end to one of the Cowboys’ most disappointing games of the season.
The Cowboys entered Week 17 with a strong performance, having won four of their last five games. However, the loss to the Eagles, particularly against backup quarterback Kenny Pickett and third-string QB Tanner McKee, could prompt team owner Jerry Jones to reconsider the team’s direction.
This brawl could have lasting consequences, as the NFL announced two suspensions and one fine following the incident.
