The General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, has just made an announcement about the possibility of seeing Ivan Demidov here as early as this season.
This question was raised by TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie, and it’s a question that many fans have been asking.
Personally, I thought there was a chance to see Demidov at the very end of the season, but this clearly will not be the case after all.
It’s official: Ivan Demidov will not play with the Montreal Canadiens this season
This settles the matter, and it comes directly from Kent Hughes.
Despite this, let’s still remember that the young Demidov’s current KHL contract ends at the conclusion of this campaign, and he is still expected to don the Tricolore’s jersey as early as next fall.
He is very likely to be a dynamic player for the Camadiens and one who could have a quick impact on the team’s success.
If some believe the Canadiens could make the playoffs this season, with Demidov next year, that seems genuinely possible.
Let’s wait and see.
Ivan Demidov, 19 years old, has an impressive 31 points in 40 games this season, including 13 goals, and he is literally on fire, especially since Kent Hughes and his associates’ trip to the KHL.
Do you think Demidov could have helped Martin St. Louis’ squad as early as this season?
