In my opinion, his selection is more surprising this year. His performance has been up and down for several weeks now. If we absolutely wanted another Laval player, Owen Beck would have been a better choice.»

He also adds that other Quebecers have indeed been invited to the event, including Alex Belzile, Jeremy Davies, Devon Levi, and Justin Hryckowian.
Belzile and Levi are more well-known names among Canadiens fans.
