CINCINNATI — The Bengals kicked off their rookie minicamp on Friday, with four of their six 2025 draft picks participating in on-field drills.

Notably absent from drills were first-round pick Shemar Stewart and second-rounder Demetrius Knight Jr. While both players were present on the field, they did not take part in any physical activity.

“They’re just working through their contracts right now,” head coach Zac Taylor said following the session.

The minicamp was a one-day event, with full-team activities alongside veterans scheduled for next week. When asked whether Stewart and Knight would be ready to participate then, Taylor remained cautious.

“We’ll see,” he said. “I’m not going to make any predictions on where that ends up, but they’ve had a great attitude, and I’m excited about both those guys.”

The Bengals drafted Stewart 17th overall and Knight 49th overall in last month’s NFL Draft.

On Thursday, Cincinnati signed four other draft selections: Dylan Fairchild, Barrett Carter, Jalen Rivers, and Tahj Brooks. All four were active participants during Friday’s rookie camp.
