The Boston Bruins have announced several roster changes as of January 14, 2025, due to recent injuries.
Mark Kastelic (Forward): Sustained an injury on January 9 and has been placed on injured reserve. Kastelic has contributed four goals and eight assists over 43 games this season.
Charlie McAvoy (Defenseman): Injured on January 11 and now on injured reserve. McAvoy has recorded five goals and 15 assists in 45 games this season.
Hampus Lindholm (Defenseman): Out since November 12 and moved to long-term injured reserve. In 17 games this season, Lindholm has three goals and four assists.
Matt Poitras (Forward): Recalled from the Providence Bruins. In 14 NHL games this season, Poitras has one goal and three assists. He also boasts eight goals and 12 assists in 23 AHL games, including a seven-game point streak from December 1-18, 2024.
Michael Callahan (Defenseman): Also recalled from Providence. This season, Callahan has one goal and five points over 35 AHL games. He has yet to make his NHL debut.
These adjustments aim to address the Bruins’ injury challenges as they continue their season.
