Patrick Mahomes is on the verge of making NFL history as he aims to become the first quarterback to win three consecutive Super Bowls. But beyond the game, he is also playing for someone very special—his grandfather, Randy, who is in hospice care.

Now, as Super Bowl LIX approaches, Randi says her father is “hanging on,” hoping to witness Mahomes lead the Chiefs to another triumph against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, according to People.
