A recent report by NHL insider, Chris Johnston, reveals the Boston Bruins are making major moves to trade their captain, Brad Marchand.

With the trade deadline quickly approaching, March 7, all organizations in the NHL are making a run for their money, ensuring they can acquire players who benefit their organization, including the Boston Bruins.

Boston is in a tough position as of late, with having a chance to make an appearance in the playoffs, the team still lacks depth comparatively to their competitors.

This aspect has cause the organization to panic, GM Don Sweeney has been pulling strings this past week to get the ball rolling for the trade deadline.

In order to secure long-term success for his club, Sweeney has began making unbelieve moves, including recently trading a fan-favourite Trent Frederic.
And it has been suggested that the Boston Bruins captain, Brad Marchand is a potential trade candidate.

The idea of removing the team’s captain from their lineup has been floating around for sometime now, yesterday ESPN reporter, Emily Kaplan, revealed that Marchand will be potentially on the chopping block from his long-term team, and now this news is being backed up by reports.
