Mikko Rantanen has been the talk of hockey over the past couple of weeks, and he is now on the move once again according to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman.
The day of the NHL trade deadline, there are still a lot of big names on the top trade board, including Mikko Rantanen. Many were curious on where he was going to land and with all the rumours, many believed he wasn’t going to be apart of the Hurricanes organization for long.
Now Elliotte Friedman has confirmed that the Carolina Hurricanes have traded the superstar to the Dallas Stars.

Thursday night, Rantanen opened up and stated he would be willing to do a sign-and-trade, and that is exactly what happened.
It is reported that one of the returns heading back to the Carolina Hurricanes in thsi deal is star Logan Stankoven, who has a lot of potential and can be a big piece for the Hurricanes playing in a bigger role.
Rantanen will sign an eight-year extension with the Dallas Stars.
Rantanen is now back on a serious contender for the Stanley Cup this year as the Dallas Stars are absolutely stacked this year. There is also a chance that Rantanen faces his old team in the Avalanche in the first round of the playoffs
