There’s a new reason to celebrate in the Armia household!
Emilia Armia, wife of Montreal Canadiens forward Joel Armia, has just shared a joyful and deeply personal update: the couple has welcomed their second child!
Everything reportedly went smoothly, and both mom and baby are doing great. What wonderful news for the growing Armia family!

The family seems to be thriving in Quebec, and it’s truly heartwarming to see how well they’ve settled in. Emilia confirmed the news with a touching post that quickly drew warm reactions from friends, teammates, and fans alike.
Among the many messages was a sweet comment from Canadiens teammate Jake Evans, who wrote:
“June 2nd. Best day ever.”
Evans appears to be hinting that the newest Armia baby shares his birthday—a fun and special coincidence!

Now 32, Joel Armia has been part of the Canadiens organization since the 2018-2019 season. He posted 29 points over 81 games this year and remains a reliable, experienced depth player—particularly valuable come playoff time. More than that, he’s known as a great teammate and respected presence in the locker room.
We can’t wait to see what’s next for Joel on and off the ice!
