It’s always good to be a Baltimore Ravens fan—especially when Eric DeCosta is running the show. Our front office rarely misses. Unfortunately, not every franchise can say the same… especially the one in Cleveland.
You’d think the Browns would learn by now. After finishing a miserable 3-14 last season and landing the No. 2 overall pick, the assignment was simple: Don’t mess this up. Draft the best player available. Infuse the roster with star talent. Easy, right?
Enter: Travis Hunter—a generational two-way phenom and the most electric player in the draft. A true game-changer on both sides of the ball. The kind of unicorn prospect you don’t pass on. You sprint the card to the commissioner and start building around him.
But nope… the Browns did what the Browns do best: overthink it.
Not only did Cleveland trade out of the No. 2 pick, they handed Hunter on a silver platter to the Jaguars—a team with a rookie GM and first-year head coach. Jacksonville made a bold move. They went all in. Meanwhile, the Browns moved back to No. 5 for a few extra picks and a chance to draft… anyone but Hunter.
Let that sink in.
This could go down as one of the biggest draft blunders in NFL history. It was Cleveland’s moment to take control of the narrative—and instead, they bailed. Again.
Hunter could be a superstar. He might dominate for the next decade. And the Browns just let him walk. No surprise there.
Ravens fans? We’re just sitting back, shaking our heads… and laughing. Some things never change.
