New insight has unveiled two new coaching candidates to replace the team’s current interim head coach, Joe Sacco, have emerged for the Boston organization, and one of them is a former Bruin.
The Boston Bruins organization has been on their search for a new head coaching candidates to replace their current interim head coach, Joe Sacco, and a recent announcement has erupted, revealing that the Bruins’ front office has two new possible replacements, including a former Bruin.
Boston’s Sports Original, made a post on social media via ‘X’ to announce the two head coaches who have emerged for the Bruins’ coaching position yesterday, Friday May 9.

An NHL insider has also revealed that the former Boston Bruin, Marco Sturm, is under serious consideration for the position:

An additional insider, Scott McLaughlin also revealed that Sturm is definitely worth looking at:
«Sturm is 119-80 in three seasons as head coach of AHL Ontario. Did really good work with the German national team, and also was an assistant with the Kings for four years. Definitely worth looking at.»

Although it is uncertain what GM Don Sweeney and the Boston Bruins front office will do in regard to their head coaching position for the 2025/26 NHL season, some candidates are looking pretty promising and it is suggested that the team’s current interim head coach, Joe Sacco, may just be replaced this offseason.
