Young Montreal Canadiens forward Ivan Demidov is making waves yet again — and this time, it’s not just for his on-ice talent.
After a buzzworthy article from RG Media earlier this morning, hockey fans got hit with even bigger news: Ivan Demidov will officially be playing in the LSHL this summer.
While we already knew Demidov planned to stay in Montreal over the summer to continue training, La Poche Bleue dropped an exclusive update that caught everyone off guard.
In an interview, Zach Fucale, who’s helping run the LSHL, revealed:
“Our league’s games will run Monday and Tuesday nights with a strong lineup of players. And yes, Ivan Demidov will be suiting up for Tuesday games.”
That’s right — Demidov has accepted the LSHL’s offer and will take part in several Tuesday night games over the summer.
For those unfamiliar, the LSHL (Local Summer Hockey League) is a fast-paced 3-on-3 format featuring current NHL players. It’s a fan-first experience with tickets under $13, making it an absolute steal for Montreal hockey lovers.
And there’s more: Patrik Laine is also expected to play, adding even more star power to this exciting summer league.
