Rangers are preparing for a major squad overhaul this summer, and one familiar face has already taken steps toward his next chapter. Midfielder Ianis Hagi has been seen training at the Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy, just days after it was confirmed he will leave Rangers FC when his contract expires at the end of the season.
With Brian Priske expected to be named the new manager at Ibrox, the rebuild for the 2025/26 campaign is set to begin in earnest. A number of players, including Nedim Bajrami, have been linked with summer exits, and the list of out-of-contract players continues to grow.
Hagi, who joined Rangers in 2020, has struggled for consistent game time in recent seasons due to injuries and loan spells. His departure was confirmed by the club earlier this month, and now the Romanian international appears to be preparing for his next move closer to home.
In a photo shared on social media, Hagi was seen at the training ground of the academy founded by his father, Gheorghe Hagi, in Romania—fueling speculation that a return to his homeland or a move to Farul Constanța could be on the cards.
