The 16-year-old son of golf legend Tiger Woods competed this week at Streamsong Resort, going head-to-head with some of the most elite junior golfers in the country. The field included four of the top five ranked players in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Ranked No. 606 and making just his fifth AJGA appearance, Charlie entered the tournament as a long shot. But he defied the odds, clinching victory with a superb six-under-par final round, finishing 15-under overall — three shots ahead of the nearest competitor.
The win was even more impressive given his rocky start. In the opening round, Charlie recorded eight birdies and an eagle, but a series of mistakes, including five double bogeys and a triple bogey, left him with a two-under-par 70.
Golf fans flooded social media to celebrate his breakthrough performance. One user on X posted:
“LET’S GO KID! First of many.”
