The Parramatta Eels have thrilled fans with the announcement that they have officially exercised their club option to retain star winger Josh Addo-Carr for an additional year, securing his services until the end of the 2026 NRL season.
Known affectionately as “The Foxx”, Addo-Carr has made an electrifying impact since joining the Blue and Gold, quickly becoming a fan favourite with his explosive pace, infectious personality, and elite try-scoring ability. His influence on and off the field has been impossible to ignore, both in the stands and behind the scenes.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O’Neill, praised Addo-Carr’s contributions and leadership since arriving at the club.
“Josh has been a popular addition to our Club. From day one, he has embraced the Parramatta community and brought a real spark to our group,” O’Neill said.
“The coaching staff have been impressed with his leadership on the field, particularly with our younger players. His passion and personality have had a positive effect across the organisation, and we’re happy to have him with us for another season.”
The 28-year-old speedster, who made his NRL debut back in 2016, continues to be one of the most lethal attacking threats in the competition. In fact, Addo-Carr currently leads the Eels in tries this season and has racked up a staggering 147 career tries to date — a testament to his consistency, skill, and try-line radar.
With his infectious enthusiasm, Indigenous pride, and game-breaking talent, Addo-Carr brings more than just points to the scoreboard — he brings heart to the Eels’ culture.
The Eels’ faithful can now rest assured that the iconic winger will continue thrilling crowds at CommBank Stadium for at least another year as the club looks to build towards a successful campaign in 2026.
