The Panthers and Eels are taking their rivalry off the field and into the community with the Battle of the West Lifeblood Challenge, teaming up with Australian Red Cross Lifeblood in a life-saving competition that puts purpose over points.
From Sunday, 1 June to Sunday, 13 July (Round 19), fans and members of both clubs are encouraged to donate blood, plasma, or platelets in support of their team. The goal? Save lives—and win bragging rights.
How It Works
Every eligible donation counts as one point for your chosen team. Getting involved is easy:
- Register at www.lifeblood.com.au if you’re not already a donor.
- Book your donation between 1 June and 13 July.
- Nominate “Panthers” or “Eels” when you donate to add your point to the tally.
Each donation can save up to three lives—so your impact goes far beyond the scoreboard.
More Than a Rivalry
“This challenge is about more than rivalry; it’s about rallying our communities to make a real impact,” said Alex Reilly, Panthers Head of Foundation and Community.
“Every donation has the power to save lives. We’re proud to stand alongside the Eels and Lifeblood to do something truly meaningful.”
Kate Chapman, Parramatta Eels GM of Brand, Social Impact and Fan Development, added:
“Our club has always been about more than just football. The Lifeblood Challenge is a powerful way to show our commitment to the community.”
Not Eligible to Donate? You Can Still Help!
You don’t need to give blood to make a difference. Spread the word—tell your family, friends, and colleagues. Every new donor helps save lives and pushes your team closer to the top.
Which side are you on? Panthers or Eels?
Let’s turn rivalry into a force for good.
Donate. Save lives. Win the West.
