Sharks winger, Panthers forward facing suspensions…

Two NRL stars are set to spend some time on the sidelines following Saturday night’s Round 12 action.

Penrith Panthers forward Liam Henry has been hit with a Grade 2 crusher tackle charge for a hit on Newcastle’s Fletcher Sharpe in Bathurst. He’s looking at a two-game suspension with an early guilty plea, or three if he contests and loses. If he takes the plea, Henry will miss upcoming games against the Eels and Tigers, returning in Round 16 vs the Warriors after the Panthers’ bye.

Over at Cronulla, Sharks winger Ronaldo Mulitalo is also in trouble for a late shot on Roosters debutant Mark Nawaqanitawase. He’s copped a Grade 2 charge too — but since it’s his first offence, he faces just one match out with an early plea, or two if he rolls the dice and loses.

The Sharks have a bye next week, followed by home games against the Warriors and Dragons — so Mulitalo’s absence, if any, will come at a key time.

Both players have until midday Monday (AEST) to submit their pleas.

Big decisions ahead… do they fight or take the hit?
