The Vancouver Canucks have officially announced the signing of free-agent forward Anri Ravinskis to a two-year, entry-level contract valued at $1.75 million, set to begin in the 2025-26 NHL season.

General Manager Patrik Allvin shared his thoughts on the signing:
“Anri is a player our group has been watching closely this year in Finland and more recently at the World Hockey Championships in Sweden. Finding European free agents like Anri is a good way for our organization to improve its depth. We like his size and body type and look forward to helping him refine his skills and get used to the North American pro game.”

Who is Anri Ravinskis?

Ravinskis, 22, hails from Riga, Latvia, and just completed his second professional season in Finland. He split his time between Kettera (Mestis) and HPK (Liiga), collecting:

  • 21 points (8G, 13A) in 23 games with Kettera
  • 17 points (8G, 9A) in 27 games with HPK
  • Also appeared in 3 playoff games with HPK

Across two seasons with Kettera, the 6’3″, 201-pound left winger totaled 51 points (22G, 29A) in 68 games, adding 10 points (7G, 3A) in 16 playoff contests during a silver-medal run.

Before turning pro, Ravinskis skated in the QMJHL with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, posting 54 points (29G, 25A) over 98 games.

International Experience

Ravinskis has been a steady presence for Team Latvia at the international level, with appearances at:

  • 2021 U18 World Championship (Top 3 Player for Latvia)
  • 2021 Division 1A World Juniors
  • 2022 & 2023 World Junior Championships
  • 2025 IIHF World Championship
